If you leave top quality teak outdoor furniture raw in its natural state, it can be easily restored using a high-pressure Gerni cleaner. This natural material ages well without the need for constant staining and upkeep. All timber outdoor furniture gets a bit of surface mould from the environment. There’s no avoiding it but if you let the timber breathe, it can always be restored. If you oil it, the mould gets trapped under the oil and you can’t restore it. We’re just wanting to remove a bit of the surface mould and clean them up a bit. Then with new covers, they’re ready for another 4 years.
If you want to finish them off, just sand lightly with 400 grit sandpaper once the chairs are dry.
