Travertine

Travertine – famously used in the design of the Colosseum – occupies an important place in the history of architecture. The material is admired for its striking appearance and hard-wearing qualities, making it a versatile choice for indoor and outdoor use. We’ve taken the ancient material and expressed it in a modern way, offering multiple textures and colours, from light cream and beige hues to warm, earthier greys.

What is travertine?

Travertine is a type of limestone found at the mouths of hot springs and limestone caves. Its distinctive fibrous appearance is formed in the calcium-rich water, which also gives the stone its calming and neutral colouration.

The whiteness of our Scala Travertine is unique to the market. It has a consistently warm light cream hue, which perfectly complements modern minimalist design.

What is Scala?

Scala is our premium Travertine range. It’s the whitest travertine stone on the market, with a consistent light cream hue that perfectly complements modern architecture. We offer it simply sawn with no other intervention, embracing its imperfections and highlighting its unique aesthetic palette.

How do we offer it?

All of our Travertine tiles are dimensionally cut from larger slabs. As this stone is hardwearing, the tiles are available in thin formats as well – a great option for areas with limited setdown.
