Paul’s passion for country gardens developed at an early age growing up next door to an Edwardian property with a rambling overgrown garden. ‘This is where my complete love affair with everything country began,’ Paul writes in his book. ‘I would go home to my bedroom and dream of the day when I could have my very own country property.’ His mother’s interest in garden design and plant species has also greatly influenced and shaped Paul’s green thumb.
