A Letter From Ben Kerr Founder And Ceo
We have made a decision to shift our nationwide operations to a more remote model in Australia to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
This means all our staff are working remotely and our showrooms stopped accepting public walk-ins.
We’re very aware of the critical importance of social distancing during this pandemic and the expert advice that we should all be asking people to stay away from public places, cancel gatherings and restrict any nonessential interaction.
All our sales teams are operating remotely, we’ve got stock and are taking new orders, and we’re fulfilling those already in motion. All warehouses are being managed with new safety hygiene practices in place and we’ll be delivering all orders as usual.
We’ve been in contact with all of our suppliers and whilst there may be some minor delays, we’re confident that all production is continuing and don’t foresee any significant disruption to our supply chain. As we speak, we have over 100 containers in production and on the water.
If you need to see a larger sample of a product, please call us in advance and we can make a store visit available to you.
We’re here for anything you need right now and are ramping up our online service capabilities to include:
- 24-hour stone and fabric sample delivery via our website
- Safe sample drops – posted or left at your designated place
- Instant chat support with our sales staff via an online chatbot
- Teleconferencing capabilities to facilitate virtual meetings for our sales teams so you can still discuss projects in detail.
We also have our Architectural Resources section of the website with full technical testing, BIM files and product information available online as usual, and we’ll be working to supplement that with anything further that might be helpful.
As this situation evolves around the world, the circumstances in each region are ever-changing so we’ll be monitoring and adjusting our plans accordingly. It is our intention to be as transparent and upfront as we can be with our people and with our clients. We feel privileged to be working with you all and we’ll navigate these next few weeks together.
If you have any queries or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out to any of us personally. In these uncertain times, it’s a sober reminder that we’re all human and we’re all in this together. So regardless of how I or anyone else might be feeling about these changes to our business operations, we’re most mindful of the fact this is a time to remain positive, to continue to be generous and kind to each other, and to remain calm but with a measured response to the seriousness of the situation at hand.
We see this as the time to put our humanity first, and our business second.
Warmest Regards,
Ben Kerr and the rest of the Eco Outdoor team.
