The project
Standard Architecture in collaboration with Eco Outdoor director Ben Kerr, Alanzo Constructions and Rolling Stone Landscapes designed and renovated a new flagship store in the heart of Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.
Room in focus
The Eco Outdoor Beverly Hills flagship store bathroom.
The brief
The space needed to reflect the Eco Outdoor brand and showcase the company’s product whilst being functional. “Ben brought the vision of somewhat raw aesthetics to use – exposed wood and steel combined with stone finishes. We brought an element of control over the details: the windows and doors; the metalwork; and the light fixture installations,” states project architect Jeff Allsbrook.
Key materials & fittings
The hand-crafted Zellige Cotto Tiles in Chalk were selected for the bathrooms walling for its authentic nature and imperfect aesthetic. This was paired with the durable Lagano Project Stone flooring in its mottled grey tones and subtle light flecks, ideal for the wet environment.
Touches of copper lift the neutral palette and the black metal in the window frames, mirror and wall sconce reflects the showroom’s industrial heritage. Combined together, the natural and industrial features create a sophisticated space that’s in line with the Eco Outdoor brand.
